Delete your LearnDrill account

Last updated 20 October 2026

You can delete your LearnDrill account from inside the app, or write to us if you no longer have the app installed. This page explains both routes and says plainly what is erased, what is kept, and when.

On this page

  1. Delete your account from inside the app
  2. Request deletion without the app
  3. What is deleted and what is kept
  4. If you are a teacher
  5. Contact

Delete your account from inside the app

This is the fastest route. It takes a minute and there is nothing to wait for.

  • Open the LearnDrill app and sign in.
  • Tap Profile in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
  • Scroll down to the Account heading, below Log Out.
  • Tap Delete Account.
  • Type your password and confirm.

Your password is asked for because this cannot be undone. The moment you confirm, the account is deactivated and every session is signed out, on every device you have used. You will not be able to sign in again.

If you teach on LearnDrill and use the Classroom app, the same option is on the Account screen there.

Request deletion without the app

You do not have to install anything to have your account deleted. Write to contact@learndrill.com from the email address the account is registered under. Writing from that address is how we check the request is really yours.

Please include:

  • The subject line: Delete my account.
  • The email address on the account, if you are writing from a different one.
  • The name on the account.
  • Whether it is a student account or a teacher account.

Never send us your password. We will never ask you for it, by email or in any other way. If you write from an address we cannot match to an account, we will ask you for something else that shows the account is yours before we delete anything.

We answer deletion requests within 7 days. The account is deactivated on the day we are satisfied that it is yours, and the 30 days described in the next section are counted from that day.

A parent or guardian can ask for the account of a child in their care to be deleted in the same way.

What is deleted and what is kept

Both routes do exactly the same thing.

Straight away

  • The account is deactivated and every session is signed out, on every device.
  • You cannot sign in again.
  • The email address is released, so it can be used to register a new account right away.

After 30 days

  • An automatic job that runs every night erases the name on the account.
  • The email address is replaced with a placeholder that cannot receive mail and cannot be signed in with.
  • The profile photo is deleted.

What is kept

  • Quiz attempts, challenge attempts, payments and subscription records. They are the financial and operational record of the service. After the 30 days they are no longer attached to a name or an email address.
  • Comments already written in a classroom. Deleting the account does not take them down. Write to contact@learndrill.com if you want that done.

The database is backed up every night and those backups are kept. So where this page says something is deleted, it means deleted from the running service, and a copy can remain in a backup made before it was deleted.

If you are a teacher

Deleting a teacher account does everything above, and three things more.

  • Every classroom you own is closed. Each one becomes read only: your students keep everything you have already shared with them, and nobody can post, comment or join again.
  • A classroom you only co-teach belongs to somebody else and keeps running.
  • The identity documents you uploaded for vetting are deleted at the next nightly sweep, whether or not your application was ever reviewed.

The display name your classes saw, the school you gave, your phone number and your biography are erased at the same 30-day point as the rest.
