About these terms

LearnDrill is operated by NICORPAD. LEGAL ENTITY NAME, REGISTRATION NUMBER AND REGISTERED ADDRESS TO CONFIRM These terms cover the website, the student app, the teacher app and workspace, and the service behind them.

Creating an account or using LearnDrill means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service. How your information is handled is set out separately in the privacy policy, which forms part of this agreement.

Who may use LearnDrill

LearnDrill is built for secondary school students in Cameroon preparing for the GCE, and for teachers who want to run a classroom for them. MINIMUM AGE AND PARENTAL CONSENT POSITION TO CONFIRM

If you are a pupil under eighteen you should have the permission of a parent or guardian to use LearnDrill. A parent or guardian who wants an account closed can write to CONTACT EMAIL TO CONFIRM.

Your account

  • An account belongs to one person. Give a real name and an email address you can actually receive mail at, because verification and password reset depend on it.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you.
  • A student account can be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a second device ends the session on the first. This is deliberate, because a subscription is sold per student.
  • Sharing an account, or your sign-in details, with other students is a breach of these terms and can end the subscription.
  • You can delete your account as described in the privacy policy.

Subscription and payment

  • Access to past papers, quizzes, lesson videos and classrooms requires a paid subscription.
  • The subscription is sold by academic year, not as twelve months from the day you pay. The Cameroon academic year runs from September to the end of July, and access continues until the next academic year begins. A subscription bought in September and one bought in May therefore end at the same point and cost the same, the way a school fee does.
  • A subscription bought during August buys the academic year about to start, and access begins straight away.
  • The price is SUBSCRIPTION PRICE TO CONFIRM.
  • Payment is by MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money inside the app. Confirming the prompt on your phone authorises the charge.
  • WHETHER THE PAYMENT PROVIDER FEE IS ADDED TO THE PRICE OR ABSORBED TO CONFIRM
  • A subscription does not renew itself. It ends when the academic year ends, and buying again is a new payment.
  • REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY TO CONFIRM

What you may do with the material

Past paper questions on LearnDrill are set by the Cameroon GCE Board and remain theirs. What LearnDrill supplies around them is the collection, the digitised text, the explanations, the quizzes, the lesson material and the software. RIGHTS AND PERMISSIONS POSITION ON GCE PAST PAPER MATERIAL TO CONFIRM WITH A LAWYER

While your subscription is active you may use the material for your own study, including downloading papers for offline use inside the app. You may not republish it, resell it, post it elsewhere, or use it to build a competing service. An offline download belongs to the account that made it.

How to behave

LearnDrill is used by schoolchildren. The rules are short, and they are enforced.

  • Do not post or send anything abusive, threatening, sexual, hateful, or anything that would put a child at risk.
  • Do not post anyone's personal details, including phone numbers and addresses, in a classroom.
  • Do not upload material you have no right to share.
  • Do not try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service, and do not try to reach another person's account or another classroom's content.
  • Do not use a classroom to advertise or to recruit.

We can remove content and suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where a child's safety is involved we will act first and discuss it afterwards.

Classrooms

If you are a student

  • Joining a classroom makes your name and the level you are studying visible to the teacher and to any co-teacher.
  • Comments you write are visible to everyone in that classroom.
  • A teacher can remove you from a classroom, or ban you from rejoining it.

If you are a teacher

  • You must be approved before you can run a classroom. Approval means a LearnDrill administrator reviewed the documents you supplied. It is not a background check, not a professional certification and not an endorsement of you by LearnDrill.
  • You are responsible for what you post and for what happens in a classroom you run.
  • You may invite co-teachers. A co-teacher can act only within the subjects and levels you give them, and can do nothing at all until you have given them at least one.
  • The storage available to you for classroom files is limited, and the limit is set by LearnDrill.
  • LearnDrill administrators can lock a classroom, remove a post or a comment, take down a cover image, and in a serious case delete a classroom. Every such action is recorded with a written reason.
  • Administrators may open the content of a classroom in order to deal with a report or a safeguarding concern. Every such read is recorded, and can be shown to a parent who asks.
  • Your approval can be suspended. If it is, your classrooms stop accepting new members and new posts, and the students already in them keep reading what is already there.

Availability and accuracy

We work to keep LearnDrill running, but we do not promise it will always be available. It depends on a mobile network, a payment aggregator, a video platform and a hosting provider, none of which we control, and maintenance and failures happen.

Everything on LearnDrill is revision material. It is not a guarantee of an exam result, and a question, a transcription or an explanation can contain a mistake. Tell us when you find one and we will correct it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, LearnDrill is provided as it is, and NICORPAD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for examination results, or for loss caused by something outside its reasonable control. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY WORDING TO CONFIRM WITH A LAWYER

Suspension and closure

  • You may stop using LearnDrill and delete your account at any time.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to share a subscription, or where we have to act to protect a child.
  • If we close an account for a breach, WHETHER ANY PART OF THE SUBSCRIPTION IS REFUNDED TO CONFIRM.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and a material change will be announced in the app. Continuing to use LearnDrill after a change means accepting it.
